The Royal Chancellor of Ruthenia, often simply referred to as the Chancellor, was the highest political office in the Ruthenia, just under the King himself. The Chancellor is apointed by the King. Once in office, the Chancellor has powers similar to the King. He presides the Council of State and is the responsible for the General Assembly. The Council of State is the upper house of the Legislative Power in Ruthenia and is a consultive branch of government for the King.
