The Imperial Journal (Portuguese: Imperial Jornal) is a periodical publication that has been authorised to publish public or legal notices. It was established by Law n. L-A1-03[1], It is usually considered sufficient to comply with legal requirements for public notice.
Since 2016, there was a constitutional provision for the creation of this publication; at the time, under the name Reichsgesetzblatt (German:Imperial Law Gazette), following the Austro-Hungarian example. However, such publication had never been made. With the adoption of a new constitution the following year and the regulation by the Imperial Diet, it was established that the Ministry of Information would publish the Journal.
