The Karno-Ruthenian Observatory and Space Agency, also known as K.R.O.S.A., is a imperial and royal corporation, responsible for the Karnia-Ruthenia's space programme. It was established on 03 March 2017 and represents the Karnia-Ruthenia in all negotiations on space matters.

It is based in Grancasa, Libertia. The initiative for the creation was the successful lunar observation mission made unofficially to demonstrate the viability of the project and was commanded by Guilherme, Duke of Libertia and Rickard de Abbrant Luiz. The following day, after private petition to Emperor Oscar, K.R.O.S.A. was created after the promulgation of Imperial Decree n. 081-2017 ^[1].

Missions[edit | edit source]

The first mission of K.R.O.S.A. happened unofficially, but was considered for historical purposes. Initially, the space program contemplates the observation of space and the cataloging of discoveries.

Mission Alpha[edit | edit source]

The first mission of K.R.O.S.A., called by the government "Alpha Mission", was the first mission of the agency and happened in Grancasa, on 03 March 2017. Conducted by Rickard de Abbrant Luiz and closely watched by the Duke of Libertia, the observation of the lunar surface and the partial view of planet Jupiter were successful.

Mission Beta[edit | edit source]

The second mission of K.R.O.S.A., called by the government "Beta Mission", was the second mission of the agency and happened in Grancasa, on 01 November 2017. The observation of Saturn were successful. This mission differs from the first because it is a photographic observation for cataloging^[2].

Mission Gama[edit | edit source]

The third mission of K.R.O.S.A., called by the government "Gama Mission", was the first mission that involved material sent directly from space. In order to facilitate the population's access to real-time images of space, K.R.O.S.A. has made available at its headquarters in the Persenburg Citadel a retransmission of NASA Live stream of Earth seen from space powered by NASA HDEV cameras aboard the International Space Station^[3]. This is the first mission intended to be continuous.

Mission Spiritual Astronaut[edit | edit source]

The fourth mission of K.R.O.S.A., called by the government "Mission Spiritual Astronaut", due a quote made by the Guilherme, Duke of Libertia on 21 July 2020 about how he feels observing the space and his personal bonds with space studies and observation. During the mission, K.R.O.S.A. made astronomical photos of Comet Neowise and the Milky Way available. They were taken from the observatory located in Pico do Arieiro, Madeira Island.

Mission Orion[edit | edit source]

Conducted by NASA, the Artemis I will be the first uncrewed flight test of the Space Launch System rocket and the Orion spacecraft. The flight paves the way toward landing the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon. On Karno-Ruthenian side, called as the Mission Orion (in reference to the loved one of the Greek goddess Artemis), K.R.O.S.A. have included on a flash drive that will fly aboard Artemis I the inscription "Karno-Ruthenian Empire"^[4].

Mission Jezero[edit | edit source]

Conducted by NASA, the Mission Jezero started when the Perseverance rover safely touched down on the Martian surface, inside Jezero Crater, on 18 February 2021, also landing nearly 11 million names on board. NASA's "Send Your Name to Mars" campaign invited people around the globe to submit their names to ride along on the rover, and K.R.O.S.A. have included on a flash drive the inscription "Karno-Ruthenian Empire"^[5].
