The Karno-Ruthenian Second Army is a Karno-Ruthenian permanent field army and was established in 26 November 2014 as part of the Royal Army of Ruthenia at Alto da Solidão, Kingdom of Ruthenia and transformed into a regional army during the reforms caused by the creation of the Karno-Ruthenian Empire. The task of the Army since its foundation is to defend the northern half of the Kingdom of Ruthenia, especially the former capital, Alto da Solidão. Later, it would keep the order in Ameroslavia and Pannonia.

The history behind the foundation of the Second Army begins with the foundation of the Armed Forces of Karnia-Ruthenia. The Imperial and Royal Army was founded on the 26 November 2014 as the Royal Army of Ruthenia. The Army was originally intended to serve as a defensive force to protect the national borders and territories owned by the Kingdom of Ruthenia.
After the signing of the Karno-Ruthenian Compromise of 2016 and the foundation of the Karno-Ruthenian Empire, the II Army and its inspectorate was created in June 2016 and serve as a defensive force of the Empire in the event of conflict.
On 22 July 2022, the Army was make responsible to keep the order and safety of its commander, Archduke Ari of Karnia who was offered the Crown of Ameroslavia, that eventually would be transformed into Pannonia. Serving as its royal guard, the army now serve, at some extent, to two micronations: Karnia-Ruthenia and Pannonia.
On 2023, due the alarmant invasion of wild capybaras that destroyed much of the plantations that belongs to the Imperial Family, the Second Army start a campaign called War on Capybaras, to stop or at least reduce the damages made by invasive capybaras on Karno-Ruthenian plantations in Weißeswasser, Hoheneinsamkeit, Ladislavia and Cieszpreg and Zallanta, the north region of Ruthenia.
