Alyssa Michell von Hartmann-Peters (née Birkett, born 18 March 1992) was the first Empress consort of the North American Confederation as the first wife of William I, North American Emperor reigning from 27 May 2015 to 07 August 2020. She served as Finance Minister in the Marx Cabinet. She is also the mother of William, Prince of Ohio.

Marriage to Emperor Wilhelm[edit | edit source]

In July 2013, Wilhelm was visiting his home town when he sent Alyssa an online message, he then invited her out to lunch in nearby Joliet. Wilhelm found Alyssa very attractive, and greatly enjoyed her company. The two spent their entire time rekindling their friendship and kept in touch following the visit. In the time after their meeting Wilhelm abdicated as New European Emperor and declared the micronation defunct.

By January 2014, Wilhelm was determined to marry Alyssa. Despite the grumblings from Wilhelm's family, Wilhelm and Alyssa married on 18 January 2014 in Illinois.

North American Empress and beyond[edit | edit source]

In the early months of her marriage Alyssa was not very interested in micronational politics or micronationalism in general. She acknowledged herself as Empress and her son the heir to the throne but did little else in participation. However she would listen in on cabinet meetings between Prime Minister Marx and her husband, which sparked her interest in economics. After debate in the cabinet over her right to participate in NAC politics, given her position as consort, it was decided that she was allowed to be in government as long as she remained independent. She was appointed to head the Ministry of Finance on 2 November 2015.

They would divorce in some moment between late 2019 and early 2020 and she left micronationalism, but their only child, William, Prince of Ohio, is the heir to the princely title of his father and to New European throne, also to Occidian throne if Oscar I don't produce a natural son to succeed him.
