Archduchess Celia of Karnia is a member of House of Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha as the sixth child and second daughter of Archduke Anton of Karnia and his wife, Archduchess Judith of Karnia. She renounced her rights of sucession to marry her cousin, but her title and style was eventually confirmed by his nephew, Oscar I.

She married her cousin, Archduke Joseph Maximilian, elder brother of Archduchess Mary and through this, she is also sister-in-law of her brother Archduke Helio. She adopted a son, Archduke Maurice.
