Elected Consul

Jordan Brizendine

The Delveran consular election of 2015 was the 1st annual Delveran consular election, held from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, 2015. Incumbent Consul Jordan Brizendine soundly defeated challenger President Casey Pemberton, leading to a status quo ante. Brizendine and Pemberton were inaugurated Consul and President on the 14th. Concurrent with the consular election, Lavrasian provincial elections were also held on August 14.

Since an annual Delveran election had not been held up to this point, but such elections were mandated in the newly-passed second constitution, both candidates believed it necessary to hold the election in order to legitimize their administration.

Campaign[edit | edit source]

As the Delveran election process was in its infancy at this point, no campaign season took place.

Results[edit | edit source]

Polls were open from August 10 to August 14. The extended time frame allowed for the organization of nationwide voting.

Voter turnout was estimated at 24%, though these numbers are not confirmed since a confederal census had not yet been conducted. Brizendine was victorious by a 5-2 vote, which had been the predicted outcome since Brizendine was more involved with the day-to-day running of the government and kept in more frequent contact with citizens.[1]
