Elected Consul

Dylan Callahan

The Delveran consular election of 2021 was the 7th annual Delveran consular election, held on Saturday, July 9. Former Consul Dylan Callahan defeated former Minister of Justice Elizabeth Pemberton. Having come in second place, Elizabeth Pemberton won the Presidency. Callahan and Pemberton were inaugurated and assumed their roles at the 2021 Delveran Heritage Festival on July 10.

The 2021 election was the last to be held in Delvera before the government was suspended upon joining the Karno-Ruthenian Empire in December.

Background[edit | edit source]

Article One of the Delveran Constitution provides that the Consul and President of Delvera must be citizens of the Grand Republic, at least 21 years old, and a resident of Delvera. The election in July is a direct election, where voters cast ballots for the candidate of their choice for Consul, with the runner-up becoming President.

Results[edit | edit source]

According to the Ministry of the Interior, 14 ballots were cast over the 12 hours that the polls were open. With 29 eligible citizens, this represents a 48% voter turnout.
