The Grand-Duchy of Mars is a group of LGE's colonies in Planet Mars established in 6 September 2014 with the goal of dividing and organizing celestial territories of the Lomellinian Galactic Empire. It's capital and largest city, Duchy of Scandia Colles, according to Lomellinian belief, was inhabited by an extraterrestrial civilization many millenia ago. This civilization is known by the Lomellinian as Tharsis Civilization or simply Tharsis, who made huge magestic pyramids wich are identified nowadays as prof of extraterrestrial life. After their "supposed extinction", Scandia Colles remained unclaimed by any terrestrial nation or micronation until 6 August 2014 when the Principality of Lomellina claimed the colony as lomellinian territory.
Government and politics[edit | edit source]
The Grand-Duchy os Mars is an absolute monarchy like it's sovereign state Lomellina. However the head of state is depicted as a Grand-Duke(chess) wich can control the member-duchies of the grand-duchy in this case, Scandia Colles and Acidalia Planitia, but obeys ligeance to the Empress of LGE, D. Tânya Correa D'Ornellas.
The Grand-Duchy can establish laws and traditions to themselves and the member-duchies, and each of them can establish a sub-council to the Lomellinian Aristocracy. Usually the title of duke/duchess are given to the High-Nobility Aristocrats and in some cases to the Lomellinian Infantes.
