Back in 2009, during the first contact of Oscar I with micronationalism, the discover was made with Ítalo, with whom he discussed the matter. Even a website was created, nut the project didn't prospered. However, Oscar eventually would establish himself as a micronationalist and Ítalo would become an Archduke of the ruling house in his own right in 2014, but with no participation in micronational affairs.

In December 2020, during a visit to what would become Taslavia, a conversation between Ítalo and his cousin about the feeling of belonging to a nation and the concept of nation and state, he mentioned how important the cultural element was for most of what he said, even for micronationalism, provoked a change of how a derivatist micronation would work, and close to the banks of the Billings Reservoir, where Ítalo lives, a small expanse of land a few meters away from the bank was named Idolines, part of Taslavia, composed by his house. The ensuing conversation, in fact, established the means by which the new kingdom would be constituted.

Coronated on 14 December 2020, the now King Guilherme Ítalo embraced the Italian culture that surrounded him and declared, as a condition for accepting the throne, he declined any offer on Taslavia to integrate the Empire, but accepted joining the Imperial Circle until he understood micronationalism better. He assumed a very independent position and in detriment of the "teutonic tone" of his cousin, he made signals of alliance to Karnia-Ruthenia while promoted his own "italic agenda". In fact, his own ambitions for expansion and promotion of Italian culture and consolidation of his new kingdom.

During the days that followed his ascension to the Throne, he became aware of the intentions of the Karno-Ruthenian government to extinguish Horvatia, and through the privileged channels he have at disposal, he negotiated the merge of Horvatia to the Idolines. On 30 December, the Imperial Council of Karnia-Ruthenia, deciding about territorial changes, agreed to the plans of the Emperor to transfer Horvatia to Taslavia, considering the low activity of the kingdom and its geographic proximity to Taslavia. Despite some conversation on dissolution, Horvatia became part of the Idolines through the Treaty of Saint Sylvester, signed on 31 December 2020. This marked his first personal diplomatic victory.

During the first semester of 2021, he developed diplomatic relations in some micronations in the Brazilian sector, later signing the Treaty of Persenburg, the Protocol of Goetha and finally joining the Conference of Santiago. From 10 to 16 June 2021, he was the first head of state to pay an official visit to the Emperor of Karnia in Persenburg. His reign was stable and joined several activities within the Conference of Santiago from 2021 to 2022 while he ended his studies at Educational Center of Salvador Arena Foundation.
