The House of Karnia-Woestein is a matrilineal branch of the House of Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha issued from Archduchess Alice of Karnia, adopted daughter of Oscar of Karnia and Marie Elisabeth of Karnia, an Infanta of Woestein. The union of their parents established on her person a new cadet branch of the Imperial Family, that despite being with no rights of succession to the throne of Karnia-Ruthenia and Occidia, is the representation of the greatest dynastic union in the history of micronationalism and eventually assumed the possibility to assume the Ameroslavian Crown.

Principal roles[edit | edit source]

Their principal roles, including the roles of their cadet branches were as:

History[edit | edit source]

Archduchess Alice of Karnia, founder of the branch.

Archduchess Alice was born in São Paulo, Brazil, as the second grandaugther of Infante Ricardo Luis of Woestein-Neuhaus, Margrave of Neuhaus, and his wife, Infanta Cilene to their third child and only daughter, Infanta Maria Isabel. Born as a Jonkvrouw of Woestein like her mother and the other members of the branch of the House of Woestein she belonged, her rank was raised by royal decree issued by the cousin of her mother, Prince Lucas VIII of Woestein, Stadhouder of Mauritia. Right before her mother's wedding to Oscar I, Alice and her mother became Infantas of Woestein, a very rare privilege.

In 28 August 2021, after the wedding of her mother to the Emperor of Karnia two days before[1], she was legally adopted by Oscar I[2], being granted the title and style of a member of the Imperial Family. Although she have no place in the line of succession to the Karno-Ruthenian or Occidian throne, she is the main bond between the houses of Woestein and Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha.

Unlike their siblings to come, she will be the only child of her parents to bear along the traditional titles of the Karno-Ruthenian and Occidian monarchies, the title and style of Infanta of Woestein. Apart of it, Archduchess Alice is the most problable heir to the other title of her parents in Mauritia, the title of Marquis of Götzo de Biharkeresztes.

Unexpectedly on 29 July 2022, Ari, Archduke of Karnia, who ascended 8 days earlier to the Ameroslavian Throne and Alice's grandfather, recognized Oscar I as Crown Prince and Alice as heir presumptive to the throne of Ameroslavia, becoming a Princess of Ameroslavia and second in the line of succession, establishing the possibility to, eventually, become queen in her own right in case a natural child of her parents assume the Karno-Ruthenian crown. In face of the possibility of the imperial couple don't bear children of their own, a Pragmatic Sanction is usually mentioned in political circles.

Eventually, Ameroslavia was reorganized into the Kingdom of Pannonia, and she assumed the title of Princess of Pannonia and, among the family, she is regarded to succeed her grandparent on the Pannonian Throne one day, despite her father still holds the title of Crown Prince. She also may claim the title of Princess of Ameroslavia.

Heraldry[edit | edit source]

Members of this cadet branch have their own crests, monograms and standards to represent them or their presence somewhere over the Empire and foreign countries. The use of them are regulated by the Karno-Ruthenian Emperor-King's Own Office.
