The Karno-Ruthenian Ambassador to Portugal is in charge of the Karno-Ruthenian Embassy in Funchal, the imperial and royal diplomatic mission to Portugal. The official title is His Majesty's Ambassador to the Portuguese Republic and the position of ambassador to Portugal is considered to be one of the most important posts in His Imperial Majesty's Diplomatic Service.
The ambassador's main duty is to present Karno-Ruthenian policies to the Portuguese-born citizens and their government, and to report Portuguese policies and views to the Government of Karnia-Ruthenia. The ambassador is the head of the Karnia-Ruthenia's consular service in Portugual. As well as directing diplomatic activity in support of trade and for the provision of consular support to Karno-Ruthenian citizens in Portugal. He also oversees cultural relations between the two countries.
The embassy in Portugal is the oldest foreign service of the Empire, the first office of ambassador ever created and one of the most important embassies, considering that Portuguese-born citizens compose the majority of the population in Karnia-Ruthenia.
