Lavrasia ([luh-VRAH-zee-uh]), officially the Commonwealth of Lavrasia or Province of Lavrasia, was a province of the Grand Republic of Delvera located in the U.S. state of Missouri. It was often the most active and influential Delveran province, and the city of Lavrada once held the provisional capital of the Grand Republic. Prominent citizens included Jordan Brizendine, Casey Pemberton, and Adam Brizendine, among others.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia inherited the territory and name of the Commonwealth of Lavrasia, a client state of the NottaLottan Empire and predecessor to the Grand Republic of Delvera. The name derives from that of the capital city, Lavrada, which itself is derived the Portuguese word lavrado, meaning "wrought."
Significance[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia hosted all military exercises of the Delveran Armed Services and was the site of many important governmental actions, including the signings of the Delveran Constitution and Writ of Rights. It was the location of the National Treasury and the DAS Central Headquarters and primary armory.
Lavrasia was the guardian Province of several Territories: Zancudo, Avannia, Colo, Heremus, and Naligtas. The Province also had de facto responsibility for protecting and maintaining the Republican Military Protectorate, since Lavrasia bordered the Protectorate and the region's inhabitants were relatives of Lavrasian citizens. This region was later annexed directly into the province.
Government[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia was controlled by the Triumvirate, a group of three officials embodying the three branches of government. They were the Executor (Governor), Legislator (Deputy), and Justicier. The specific duties of the Triumvirate's members, as well as their checks and balances on each other, were outlined in the Lavrasian Articles of Governance.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
According to the June 2016 census, Lavrasia had 10 citizens, of which 8 were male and 2 are female. The largest constituent area by population was Lavrasia Proper (6 - 60%), followed by Avannia (2 - 20%), Zancudo (1 – 10%) and the Protectorate (1 – 10%). The largest age group of Lavrasian citizens was 16-19 y/o (5 - 50%), while the smallest group was 12-15 (1 – 10%). All Lavrasians identifed as Christians, with most claiming Baptist beliefs (8 – 80%) and the rest unspecified Protestant (2 – 20%). 70% of Lavrasian citizens were members of the national military (excluding the Provincial Militia), with the largest contributing constituency being Lavrasia Proper (4 – 57%).

Military[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia maintained its own Provincial Militia, and the Delveran High Command was often comprised of Lavrasian citizens.
Lavrasia was home to the largest DAS military installation, Fort Constantine, and its accompanying training base, Camp Constantine. In July 2016, construction on the DAS Central Headquarters was completed in the province.
Sphere of Influence[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia’s sphere of influence initially included Cole, Moniteau, Cooper, and Saline Counties in central Missouri. Later, it was expanded to incorporate most of the central and southeastern portions of the state.
Flags[edit | edit source]
Lavrasia had several flags, all of which used traditional colors and symbols of the region. The Province itself was represented by the Provincial Flag, while the Territories under Lavrasia’s guardianship and civilian ships in service of the state used the Civil Ensign. The War Ensign represented the Lavrasian Militia and Lavrasian members of the DAS, and could be flown on Provincial warships.
The flags were changed by the Triumvirate in September 2016.[1]

Lavrasia was one of the original four signatories of the Declaration of Independence from the NottaLottan Empire and the Delveran Writ of Rights.
