Archduchess Leila of Karnia is a member of House of Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha by marriage, as wife of Archduke Joseph of Karnia.

During the state visit by Oscar I to Pannonia in late December 2023, his husband, Archduke Joseph of Karnia, asked Oscar I to recognize his marriage as equal, what was accepted and the Emperor granted to Leila the title, style and dignity of an Archduchess of Karnia, and the same for any children born of this union. However, despite no succession rights, the couple renounced any possible right of succession in order to receive the imperial recognition.

Through the marriage, she became daughter-in-law of Archduke August of Karnia and Archduchess Josianne of Karnia, and sister-in-law of Archduchess Jessica and Archduchess Esther.
