MicroCon is an annual summit of micronationalist government representatives, held biennially in odd-numbered years except for 2021 (when it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic). MicroCon was created by the government of Molossia as a venue for delegates of micronations around the world "to share their ideas, dreams and worlds with each other."[1]
Held biennially in odd years, MicroCon is the world's largest regularly scheduled gathering of micronationalists, that meet to engage in cultural diplomacy. The 2023 US edition of MicroCon would feature casual parties, a formal gala, feats of strength (sports) and eight hours of educational programming[2].
MicroCon 2023[edit | edit source]
MicroCon 2023 was scheduled for the summer of 2023. The main event would be hosted by the Royal Republic of Ladonia, and would take place between 30 June and 02 July 2 in Chicago suburb of Joliet, Illinois. This very year would also have a smaller EU event that would take place between 11 and 13 August in Ypres, Belgium and co-hosted by the Royal Republic of Ladonia and Grand Duchy of Flandrensis.
This was the first time a Latin American micronation would attend the event: Karnia-Ruthenia would be the first Brazilian and Latin American micronation represented in MicroCon. In the previous edition on 2022, the Conference of Santiago became the first organization created in Latin America to attend the event and was represented by the Republic of Saint Castin and the Principality of Sancratosia[3].

The Imperial Delegation arrived on Thursday and by early night, engaged in their first activity, a dinner with representatives of Kapreburg.

- Diplomatic Reception.
After the tour, the Imperial Delegation went to diplomatic reception, and met with delegations from the host nation, Ladonia, Westarctica, Aigues-Mortes, Molossia and others. The members of the delegation took pictures with other attendees and received the Order of the Polar Cross from the Grand Duke of Westarctica and were invited to attend the Ball Goldet d'Or in Aigues-Mortes in September.
