The Ministry of Finance of the North American Confederation is the government department responsible for the development, advising, and execution of the North American government's public finance policy, economic policy, and budget. It will also be responsible for the printing and distribution of currency and the collection of national taxes.
Headquartered in the North American capital of Indianapolis, the Ministry is led by the Minister of Finance, who is appointed by the Prime Minister and is a member of the Cabinet. The position of Minister is currently held. The Minister of Finance is the fourth Cabinet official in the order of precedence.

When the Confederation was founded in November 2010, the Meek government did not initially establish a government department to manage the North American economic policy, citing the lack of a viable economy until government stability to be reached. Unfortunately, the Meek government collapsed in April 2011 and the Confederation government found itself incapable of organizing a budget or economic policy.
With the establishment of the Marx government following the Interregnum, it was agreed that the establishment of a Ministry to manage the Confederation's eventual budget was of paramount importance, in light of the Prime Minister's economic goals. In November 2015, it was decided that the Ministry of Finance should be founded, with Empress Alyssa appointed to the position.

The Minister of Finance of the North America Confederation is an official within His Majesty's Government and head of the Ministry of Finance. The office is a Cabinet level position.
