The Truppen, also known as Imperial Air Service of Occidia, is the unified aerial warfare service of Occidia and their administration and procurement authorities. Its origins date back to the Luftwaffe, founded in 2009 and it is one of the branches of the Reichswehr. Military service is voluntary, though conscription may occur in some special cases.

History[edit | edit source]

The ancestor of the Truppen was the Imperial Air Service of New Europe, known at that time as Luftwaffe. It was the last branch of the Imperial Armed Services to be conceived. Kaiser Wilhelm and King Matthias had always contemplated about the creation of an air service due to both of them having extensive knowledge in air forces and both being in AFJROTC for a long tenure.

They decided that after the successful Annexation of North Carolina - the "Anschluss von Nord Karolinen" - that the Imperial Air Service should be born, but never saw action, although both the Kaiser and King Matthias have trained in aircraft and are able pilots.

Dismantled after the dissolution of New Europe and never reorganized during the existence of the North American Confederation, it was recreated in 2020 as the Occidian Air Service for the Occidian Empire.
