Activities[edit | edit source]
The task of a Director of Music of the Court is not to direct the court orchestra, but to monitor the conduct and musical performances of the court and orchestrate musical pieces appropriately.
As not all artists are suitable for administration and leadership, the position took time to be filled, which only happened in 2020, with the presentation of Peter Melchior to Emperor Oscar I, who impressed with his solid lifestyle, his undeniable talent , having held several concerts a week and night parties, guaranteed him this position in the Imperial and Royal Court.
