Archduke Olivier of Karnia is a member of House of Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha as the second child and first son of Archduke Luitpold of Karnia and his first wife, Archduchess Maria of Karnia. His father renounced his rights of sucession in order to marry, but his title and style, and of his children and grandchildren was eventually confirmed by his nephew, Oscar I, as long as recognized by the Head of the House.

He married once and had one daughter, Archduchess Olivia of Karnia. His daughter live with him since the divorce of her parents. Archduke Olivier is also the younger brother of Archduchess Walburga older brother of Archduke Johann Victor.
