Archduchess Ophelia of Karnia is a member of House of Götzö-Thomaz-Rocha as the twelfth child and third daughter of Archduke Anton of Karnia and his wife, Archduchess Judith of Karnia. She renounced her rights of sucession to marry, but her title and style was eventually confirmed by his nephew, Oscar I.
She married three times. From the first marriage, she had twho twin sisters, Beatriz, Countess Martins and later Countess Santory and Bianca, Countess Martins. From the second relationship, she had Rudolf, that eventually was recognized, for dynastic purposes, as a child of Archduchess Ophelia third marriage to Count Maurice Bezerra de Ponte de Lima, with whom she also had a son, Juan de Bezerra de Ponte de Lima.
Despite all her marriages were morganatic, she was allowed to keep the title and style of Archduchess and her children expected to hold the title and style of Counts.
