Ovda Regio, officialy Duchy of Ovda Regio and sometimes shortern Ovda, is a Lomellinian colony and part of the Lomellinian Galactic Empire, located in planet Venus. A pervasive fabric of irregular broad domes and ridges and associated curvilinear valleys of Ovda Regio was flooded by lava, then fractured. The circular feature surrounded by dark lava flows in the western part of the image is a caldera, or large volcanic collapse pit. Late-stage extension created long graben, or fault-bounded valleys are seen.
The northern boundary of Ovda Regio is a steep, curvilinear mountain belt made up of long, narrow, rounded ridges. These ridges are similar in appearance to folded mountain belts on Earth. Several impact craters are scattered across the area. The bright area in the southeast part of Magellan images indicates the presence of a radar-reflective mineral such as pyrite. Most of the highland areas on Venus display a similar bright signal.

Pre-colonial[edit | edit source]
Little is known about the bigger region of Aphrodite Terra. Venus has the densest atmosphere of the four terrestrial planets, consisting of more than 96% carbon dioxide. The atmospheric pressure at the planet's surface is 92 times that of Earth's. With a mean surface temperature of 735 K (462 °C; 863 °F), Venus is by far the hottest planet in the Solar System. So life is at leat 15% possible for some species of bacteria however no data as been found.
LGE's claim[edit | edit source]
On 9 September 2014 the Lomellinian Galactic Empire under the control of the Principality of Lomellina claimed Ovda Regio and 2 other colonies, Tethis Regio and Artemis Corona and annexed it to the Empire under the Grand Duchy of Venus.
Empress D. Tânya pretends to colonize Venus with human but due to extremely hostile conditions, a surface colony on Venus is not possible with current technology. The atmospheric pressure and temperature approximately fifty kilometres above the surface are similar to those at Earth's surface and Earth air (nitrogen and oxygen) would be a lifting gas in the Venusian atmosphere of mostly carbon dioxide. This has led to proposals for "floating cities" in the Venusian atmosphere.
Government and politics[edit | edit source]
The Duchy of Ovda Regio is ruled by a Duke or a Duchess that are obligated to follow the laws and the traditions of the Grand Duchy of Venus wich is controled over the Lomellinian Galactic Empire.
