Peerage of Karnia-Ruthenia
A peerage is a legal system historically comprising various hereditary titles and sometimes non-hereditary titles in a number of countries and composed of assorted noble ranks. In Karnia-Ruthenia, the nobility is structured and ranked very formally. These ranks are very important in social life and ceremonial life at court. The titles of the Emperor doesn't belong to the peerage, that are composed only by the titles granted by the Karno-Ruthenian Emperor. The titles of the regional monarchies doesn't belong to the peerage, although recognized as Karno-Ruthenian titles.

Order of precedence[edit | edit source]
The Karno-Ruthenian Emperor, as the sovereign, is always first in the order of precedence, followed by his consort, the first in the order of precedence for women and the other members of the dynasty. In the sequence, the members of the regional monarchies. The ranks of Peers are as follows: Duke (and Duchess), Prince (and Princess)), Margrave (and Margravine), Count (and Countess) and Baron (and Baroness) being possible for a single person to hold more than one title, what increase the rank of the titular.
Within their own respective ranks, the rank of Peers correspond to the age (venerability) of the creation of their peerages; that is, the older the title, the more senior the title's holder is. Subject to the same governing rules as detailed in the paragraphs above, the rank of the wives of Peers is also governed by the venerability (age) of the peerage. A dowager Peeress (widow of a deceased Peer) would however always precede the wife of the present Peer.
The number of titles also influence the position of its holder.
